■ARTISTS

Koichi Tsuchiya

Tsuchiya's representative works can be roughly divided into two groups: "Happa", which looks like a dumpling stuck on a skewer, and "Hana", in which the entire screen is painted in multiple colors. In addition, he sometimes takes notes on concrete objects such as sushi, people, and bus operations. The vivid colors of both "leaf" and "flower" are common, and combined with the gentle image of plants, they have many lovers. In recent years, he has been painting fusuma (bran) screens for newly built houses, and walls for beauty salons and children's homes, and his work has been well received.

Sanae Sasaki

Sanae Sasaki has been working not only in painting, but also in weaving, paper cutting, embroidery, and other forms of expression, all of which are dense and rich in color and composition. She is currently working on a mail-order catalog, slowly filling in each page with the mysterious writing of a ballpoint pen. She usually works intensively on one job for a few months to a few years, and then abruptly stops and moves on to another.

Satoru Kobayashi

His favorite musicians are Billy Joel, Queen, Yosui Inoue, Spitz, and The Boom, and he loves to go for walks. When Kobayashi was in the middle school of a school for the handicapped, he started to write all his diaries and essays in a peculiar way. At first, his teachers struggled to find a way to correct his writing, but eventually they decided to see it as an attractive form of expression. This was a turning point for him, and his expression began to take off as an art form that would bring joy to many people.
