ARTIST｜byGAKU Born in 2001. Lives in Kawasaki. In the midst of this, his intuitive and free expression asks us, "What is a real disability?
Born with autism with intellectual disability, he moved to the U.S. at the age of four in search of therapy. Returned to Japan in 2015. In 2015, he returned to Japan and began attending Nobel High School, which is run by IM (a welfare facility for the developmentally disabled) that his father started in Kawasaki. He has a unique and special worldview that does not involve language.
Even now, at the age of 19, he can communicate at the level of a second grader, but he has demonstrated special abilities in areas beyond language. He finds his power of expression in the world of the right brain alone, which excludes the left brain. His works are extremely intuitive and emit vibrations as if power is being seared from an external dimension. While modern people are exhausted by the cramped common sense and rules of the world, his intuitive and free expression asks us, "What is the real obstacle?

"MAISON SPECIAL" is an apparel brand that develops high quality clothes with SPECIAL as the STANDARD.
The collaboration came about when HERALBONY's desire to contribute to people with disabilities through sustainable business, rather than volunteerism or aid, overlapped with the desire of the founder of MAISON SPECIAL.
Our challenge is to 'make clothes that convey our thoughts'.
By providing a new and valuable experience of wearing unique art created by artists with disabilities, we aim to change society's perception of the value of disability.
A part of this collaboration item will also be returned to the artist.
