"#CAREVOTE" is an initiative to create a society where "voting" is an ordinary and open act for everyone.

Casting a vote in an election. This is generally recognized as a right granted to everyone in our society. "Voting" is a very natural and "ordinary" act for us. It's "normal" to be able to do it.

But is that really true?

What if there is a barrier to "not being able" to do even one of the essential processes for exercising the right to vote, such as "getting information," "going to the polling place," or "casting a vote"?

What Heralbony wants to visualize are the votes of people with intellectual disabilities and the various challenges that arise there. For them to exercise their right to vote, they must overcome various "difficulties."

Exercising the right to vote means being respected as a member of society and having a voice.

Heralbony wanted to change the situation where the "right to vote" for people who should inherently be more affected by politics (welfare policies, etc.) in their daily lives is not guaranteed as an ordinary option, and to change society's perception.

Not just for "people with intellectual disabilities" but as an opportunity for society to recognize

Our "Easy Voting Guide" is a guide that compiles useful information for people with intellectual disabilities who want to participate in voting.

This "Easy Voting Guide" can be downloaded from the #CAREVOTE website, printed, and brought to the polling place.

We hope it will serve as a first step of support for people with intellectual disabilities who want to go to the polls, and as an opportunity to think about family members with disabilities' voting and care.

And we hope that it will be widely used not only for "people with intellectual disabilities" but also as an opportunity for society to recognize.

The word "care" in "#CAREVOTE" means "to give consideration" and "to be concerned about."

Starting from considering the "voting rights of people with intellectual disabilities," we hope that this will spark discussions about family voting and provide an opportunity for each of us to consider whether the opportunity to cast our vote is carefully guaranteed.

We believe that the acceptance of the "vote" of people with intellectual disabilities in modern society will lead to the creation of a society and culture that affirms "who they are" rather than a society that affirms "normality."
