"Close and Far" - The Universe of Ittetsu Matsuoka and Atelier Yamanami -

Friday, October 24th, 2025 - Monday, November 24th, 2025 *Closed on Tuesdays (or the following day if a public holiday falls on a Tuesday) / Special opening of the gallery only on Tuesday, November 18th

Photographer Ittetsu Matsuoka and a member of the Shiga Prefecture welfare facility "Yamanami Kobo"
Four unique authors: Yoshida Rikuto, Ino Yuki, Oji Yuya, and NANA.
Each of these artists, living their own unique sensibilities, met and interacted through a single work.

Photography and painting.
When people with different languages face each other directly without translation,
A world that dissolves meaning and distance emerges. The artists overlaid drawings on the photographs taken by Matsuoka,
Each of their "responses" are recorded. Their worlds resonate with each other, and a dialogue through art is quietly born.

This exhibition was born from a correspondence that transcends words.
It's a new universe.
