We have obtained "B Corp" international certification, which is awarded to companies committed to public benefit.
Heralbony Co., Ltd. has acquired the international certification "B Corporation™" (hereinafter referred to as B Corp), which is awarded to companies that are committed to making a positive impact on the public good, such as society and the environment.
About B Corp
B Corp (B Corporation) certification is an international certification system operated by the US non-profit organization B Lab, awarded to companies that achieve both "profit" and "social and environmental value."
It is known for its extremely strict evaluation criteria, requiring transparency, accountability, and high social impact in five areas: governance, workers, environment, community, and customers. It is not a one-time acquisition; a rigorous re-evaluation is conducted every three years. Companies are required to make continuous improvements and uphold high standards of social responsibility, and cannot maintain their certification unless they continue to meet the criteria.
Currently, over 10,000 companies in more than 102 countries worldwide have obtained B Corp certification (as of the end of July 2025), including globally influential companies such as Patagonia and Ben & Jerry's.
Heralbony's Evaluation
After more than three years of evaluation, Heralbony exceeded the 80 points (out of 200) required for certification, achieving a final score of 100.5 points. The scores for each area are as follows:
Community: 28.7 points
Workers: 34.0 points
Customers: 13.8 points
Governance: 10.7 points
Environment: 13.0 points
In this evaluation, the "Community" category, which assesses how we engage with our stakeholders, received a particularly high rating. We believe this evaluation reflects Heralbony's consistent "artist-first" approach since its founding, and the trust relationships built with welfare facilities, artists' families, and partner companies who have empathized with this approach and walked alongside us.
Creating a System to Realize "Artist-First"
At Heralbony, we have prioritized building long-term trust relationships by supporting artists through a "담당制度" (assigned person system) where each employee, transcending departmental and occupational boundaries, directly communicates with artists and facilities. For each project, we share the background and intentions of the plan with the artists and facilities, and all initiatives proceed only after obtaining consent from the artists, facilities, and their families.
We believe that maintaining a trusting relationship requires constantly questioning "how to convey their intentions correctly" and repeatedly implementing creative solutions, rather than unilaterally imposing corporate values or common sense on artists with disabilities. Even as our business and organization continue to expand, Heralbony will return to its "artist-first" origins and uphold this unwavering principle.

Future Initiatives in the "Environment" Sector
On the other hand, in the "Environment" sector, we were able to reaffirm our current situation.
Since its founding, Heralbony has maintained a strong awareness of issues regarding sustainable manufacturing, and in June 2024, we released our "Responsible Manufacturing Declaration," making steady progress step by step.

Moving forward, we will continue to strive for the establishment of more ethical and sustainable collaborative relationships by working with all stakeholders, including those involved in raw material procurement, manufacturing, and logistics, to further reduce the environmental impact at all stages from product manufacturing to customer delivery.
From Ms. Miho Miyashita, B Market Builder Japan
We are truly delighted to welcome Heralbony Co., Ltd. to the B Corp community. During the evaluation process, the mechanism where "business expansion directly leads to a change in the perception of disability among art buyers and an increase in artists' income" was highly praised as an excellent business model that creates beneficial social impact. We look forward to advancing towards "the realization of an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy" in collaboration with the company, which operates a business that transforms people with disabilities from subjects of support into equal artists, and by partnering with the B Corp communities both domestically and internationally.
From Takaya and Fumiya Matsuda, Co-CEOs of Heralbony
Heralbony began with the desire to bring the unique talents of artists with disabilities to the brightest spotlight in the wider world. We acknowledge the profound significance of our core "artist-first" philosophy being recognized by what is considered one of the world's strictest standards.
Heralbony would not be what it is today without the welfare facilities, the artists' families, our supportive partner companies, and each and every customer. We feel this certification is a testament to the trust relationships we have cultivated over the past seven years.
We see this certification not as a goal, but as a starting point. As we look towards re-certification in three years, we want to continuously ask ourselves "who benefits" from every decision and action we take.
Towards a society where business can generate pride and dignity alongside profit.
We will continue to build this future with artists and our colleagues.
