Product Features
■A unique yukata blending tradition and art
Kyoto-ya Senshoku-ten is a dyeing shop that has been in business for over 100 years in Ichinoseki, a castle town in southern Iwate Prefecture. Through a collaboration with HERALBONY, born in Morioka City in the same Iwate Prefecture, a special yukata has been created, blending tradition with unique art.
■A garment crafted with meticulous attention from dyeing to sewing
From dyeing to sewing, the entire process is meticulously finished by hand by the artisans of Kyoto-ya Senshoku-ten. The artisans carefully dye each plate using a hand-dyeing method called "hand screen printing," bringing out the deep colors of the unique art. Furthermore, the fabric is hand-cut while carefully adjusting color matching and dimensions, and veteran sewing artisans with over 40 years of experience carefully tailor it to create a beautiful silhouette when worn. Due to hand-dyeing, color unevenness and bleeding may occur, but please enjoy these as individual differences unique to handmade items.
*Colors may bleed and transfer due to rain or sweat. This is especially likely to occur during the first use, so please be careful when wearing.
■Experience "Japanese Summer" with two artworks
We have incorporated Masahiro Fukui's "Hotarubukuro," which depicts large summer flowers in colors reminiscent of a tranquil summer evening, and marina's "marina-moji-003," where unique characters spread across a refreshing white background, giving it a somewhat fashionable look.
With "Hotarubukuro," you can enjoy Masahiro Fukui's bold composition by aligning the art on the front and back body panels.
Please note that with "marina-moji-003," there may be individual differences in how the art appears.
