Ivan Vander Vliet

An active artist since 2009 and one of the studio's longest-standing members, Ivan has developed his own unwavering process over many years: selecting a forward-facing model from newspapers, magazines, or fashion publications, sketching in his notebook, rendering the outlines on canvas, filling each area with color, and finally redrawing the lines once more. Grounded in rhythm and routine, he has produced hundreds of portraits over more than fifteen years, each one drawing viewers in with the immediacy of its gaze.
