■Thoughts behind the collaboration
This initiative is not just about product creation, but also about promoting the culture rooted in the Iwate region and conveying the appeal of Nambu ironware throughout Japan.

Through numerous trials and explorations, the fusion of traditional craftsmanship and art has taken shape by combining the Nambu ironware body with a ceramic lid. This has given birth to a new Nambu ironware piece that combines design and functional beauty, harmonizing the delicate handiwork of artisans with the energetic expressions of artists.

■About the featured art
The art "Small Apple" by Nozomi Fujita, specially drawn for this collaboration.
The art "Green Landscape" by Kaoru Iga, evoking the lush green scenery of Morioka.
And the art "(Untitled) (Blue)" by Midori Kudo, a native of Iwate Prefecture, were selected.

■About Suzuki Morihisa Studio
Suzuki Morihisa Studio is a long-established Nambu ironware manufacturer with a 400-year history in Morioka, a castle town where the Nanbu clan (Iwate Prefecture) built their castle during the Edo period. The Suzuki family has served as official casters for the domain since 1625, when they were summoned from Kai Province, the Nanbu clan's home province. Today, they continue to produce Nambu ironware using traditional techniques.
