An exciting opening event

A huge number of customers came to our opening event on May 31st, the first day of the opening.

The event started with a talk and art cruise by Heralbony representatives Takaya and Fumito Matsuda and CAO (Artistic Officer) and judge Hiromi Kurosawa.

In a space surrounded by 65 unique works of art from 16 countries around the world, you could almost hear the passionate gazes of the people facing the works and the dialogue that the works themselves were responding to.

This year's Grand Prix winner, French artist Evelyne Postick, will be visiting Japan for a talk and live painting session.

Evelyn's work depicts animals and plants on old maps with meticulous detail, making them appear independent yet connected. On the day, she was dressed in a Japanese kimono-style outfit and created a map with a cherry blossom motif, which is very Japanese.

A luxurious art cruise where you can listen to talks by artists

I, Marie, was in charge of the art cruise that day. I also spoke to the artists who were in attendance and joined them on the art cruise.

This is a truly worthwhile exhibition that will have you wanting to talk at length about all 65 works. From small, intricate pieces to large, powerful pieces, each piece is filled with the unique character and story of its artist.

Due to time constraints, we will only be able to pick out a few works to talk about during the art cruise, but if there is a work that interests you, please feel free to speak to a staff member at the venue.

Also, on the Art Cruise, I talk about the information and thoughts I have heard from the artists, as well as my own impressions, but there is a "free way" to enjoy art. Please face the artworks while enjoying what comes to your mind and what you feel, freely.

There are many works that children can enjoy. We also have a kids' quiz rally and an art cruise (booked on Saturday and Sunday, but applications are open on Wednesday, June 11th).

Art cruises and many other events are being held until June 14th
