The Allure of Artist Marina: "Fictional Characters" That Create as Many Stories as There Are Viewers

The special exhibition "I SEE, YOU SEE" currently being held at the HERALBONY LABORATORY GINZA Gallery will run until next Monday, March 2nd.
Today's newsletter will introduce marina, one of the exhibiting artists whose works have been featured in various products, and provide a glimpse into her creative process and personality.

"marina-moji" – Where Stories Emerge for Every Viewer
These are "letter-like things" densely written in a notebook. This is marina's unique typography, commonly known as "marina-moji."
It resembles ancient inscriptions, cosmic ciphers, or even a language from the future... "marina-moji" stimulates viewers' imaginations in various ways, and as many viewers there are, as many stories are born.
Her family says that this creative style may have started because she saw her family writing something at the desk and wanted to "write smoothly" in the same way.
marina is currently a high school student. Her "marina-moji," originally drawn with a ballpoint pen, continues to evolve daily with her growth.

Around 2024, "marina-moji" began to be painted with "paint and brush." Different from the ballpoint pen's touch, the dynamic, dancing characters and vivid colors seem to give viewers new stories and power.
Recently, marina has been challenging herself to create with new art materials. We look forward to her future evolution.
