"Zonder titel (Untitled)"
Year: 2023
Medium: Colored pencil, paper
Size: 704×1030mm

The "HERALBONY Art Prize" was established in 2024. It is an international art award that aims to provide a platform for disabled artists worldwide to showcase their creative power and to support the blossoming of their careers.

After a rigorous selection process from an overwhelming 2,943 submissions—significantly more than last year—the Grand Prize was awarded to "Zonder titel (Untitled)" by Dutch artist Kaa-Han Mooi. The work is characterized by a deep emerald green base, with multiple layers of blue-green, yellowish-green, and muted olive, creating a serene depth reminiscent of gazing into a water surface.
Kaa-Han, who has shown interest in drawing since childhood and has been quietly and earnestly dedicated to his craft, creates his works by layering colors using sharpened colored pencils on large white paper. The continuous formations created through months of deep concentration and energy evoke the feel of textiles, carpets, or even embroidery.

The "HERALBONY Art Prize 2026 Exhibition," presented by Tokyo Tatemono | Brillia, will be held from Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Earth Garden on the 1st floor of the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation East Building in Marunouchi, Tokyo. It will feature a total of 62 works by 56 artists, including the Grand Prize winner, recipients of various awards, and artists who advanced to the final selection.
